Lessons from Winter

I’m ready to say good-bye to Winter. I’m not someone who dreads thecold – I actually enjoy it. I like sweaters and boots and jeans. I likethe snow and the look of the Winter sky. I like cocooning. Johanna, oneof yoga teachers, was quick to remind us that without Winter, there canbe no spring; without death there is no rebirth. So while it was my first inclination to kick Winter to the curb, I realized that wasn’t a good idea. Winter deserves a proper good-bye. Maybe even a thanks. I learned a…See More

Glowing at 34

Hi lovely pinkies! I have been away for two long. A month ago I started a new position at my job and started yoga teacher certification - all at once! After a month, I think I am finally getting the hang of it all and getting my life back to some semblance of order. Today, I flipped the page to my 34th year. I can hardly believe it. Where has the time gone, and why do I not feel like I'm aging at all. If anything, I feel happier than I have in many years, and this is quite something considering…See More

Eternal mysteries

Hello my beautiful pinkies! Happy weekend!!!I am beginning to do some art work, probably inspired by the artistic endeavors that so many of you have underway. Today, I started jotting down questions that get at life's "eternal mysteries". When you hear that phrase, what questions come to mind? Here are some of mine:Why does love take it's time to find some of us?Why does the world work in mysterious ways? Why does beauty take so many forms, and how come beauty is not always readily apparent to…See More

Seeing Spots

“You cannot think your way into a new way of acting, you have to act your way into a new way of thinking.” ~ Jerry Sternin, Founder of The Positive Deviance Initiative

In this month’s issue of Fast Company, there is an excerpt from Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard by Chip Heath and Dan Heath. The book goes on sale February 16th, and this excerpt provides insights into how to find the bright spots, as small and few as they may be, that lead to radical,… Continue

We're not sure. We were going to focus it around New Years Resolutions, manifesting the life you wish to live, and (because we're both docs) optimal health.

Dear Christa, we would love to have you at a workshop! We have 1 scheduled for January 16 with Dr. Rachel Abrams, another integrative med doc who is my doppelganger. Not only do we look alike, we are both docs, both writers, and both lead women's workshops. We haven't even titled our workshop yet but it will basically be me x 2! Put in on your calendar, and we'll hope to see you there.
