Comment by Naware Healer, Rev. & RMT on April 30, 2011 at 11:03pm It's ironic (in a very non funny sort of way) that we've poisoned our environment and bodies so much that this is rather common - various food allergies of different types...definitely worth thinking about when you consider what you put into your body!
I'm slightly over protective of my recipe (I am a terrible baker but this is one thing I actually got right and on the first try and automatically altering the recipe!) But in the interest of sharing, and because I'm going to hand over the recipe to my gf (since she's limited in her sweets due to the whole flour thing) I'll gladly put it up here - including the original (my original that is)!

Comment by Lissa Rankin, MD on April 30, 2011 at 10:23pm Oh- gluten-free baking is such a precise art (just made gluten-free pancakes this am and they're SO much harder!)
I'd recommend checking out some gluten free cookbooks or websites. Not my specialty. I love to cook but am not a big baker, so many of the sweets I love (like raw chocolate and raw pies) don't require gluten anyway....
Good luck! Please share what you discover here. Or even start a separate gluten-free posse. There are so many where I live who are sensitive to gluten...
xoxo
