Shannon you amaze me. I hope when I have children I have a smidgen of the patience and calm you have with your life and boys. I love you.

Pauline, I am doing well. Share some photos or stories of how you Own your Creativity. We would love to hear what revs your engines.

This past week in Sedona, we found ourselves sitting beside a campfire with 13 strangers, playing guitar and singing tunes. We (my BF and I) were the youngest ones there. There were 3 different generations present and we were all enjoying and singing along with 'love the one you're with' and many others. It was a beautiful thing.

The other thing that made that night very special was that I sang. I sang in front of all those people from the bottom of my heart and got a standing ovation. Since joining a band is on my list of things to do this year- this particular experience was rather incredible.

What activities do you enjoy doing that allow you to lose all track of space and time?

Cleaning- oddly enough. There is nothing that feeds my creative juices more than an orderly, clean, junk/clutter free space. When my 'area' is spotless- my mind is free from distractions. Well, most distractions. :)

I also really love individual craft projects. The ideas that I gather off of the craft blogs I love, creating the projects to make them look like my own and just as awesome. SO MUCH FUN!

I'm creating a writing, yoga and meditation space. I'm about 1/3 of the way done, but have some furniture moving, paper purging, poster hanging, etc. I need to do. I'll try to post pics when it's all done.

Right now I am in the midst of creating a new bedroom/work space. Though it not complete yet, I am very pleased with what is there now. Here is the area above my desk.

After it is complete I am going to do a before and after on my blog. My external surroundings are so important to my creative inspiration.

Interesting article on how we are losing are creativity. I've read recently that we are losing our happiness as well. Related? Hmmmmm. I do think so.

All great things take time. I know for myself summertime is very busy time (esp. for the moms/dads of younger kids) and I also want to enjoy every ray of sunshine:-) Baby steps lead to running! There's so many different things to review and decide which to imerse in, I think a lot of us try to dable in everything and sometimes miss out on things. Although for me I find I view the main pages more and then step into the posse occasionaly. I'm sure energy will increase as the overall blog is beaming with great ideas, things to see and read! It's kind of like shopping! Lots of cool places to browse:-)
