I don't know how or why the heaviness of motherhood was lifted from me, but it was. The Christmas lights are twinkling brighter, my kids' laughter is contagious and the food tastes better. I feel grateful and at peace. After many, many years...I am me again.
My thoughts are with all the mothers who struggle with PPD-as the holidays can be particularly painful. May your dark clouds soon part.
