Hi Ladies!

Here is a video that can either help you in your business if you cannot afford to hire someone to help manage your social media profiles.  It is also good if you're looking to get into a new field.

Wendy,
I am so happy for you and your new beginning. You took a giant step in the right direction. I always admire people who take their own painful experiences and turn them into something positive to help others.
Congratulations Wendy!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new here so I wanted to introduce myself.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and over the years have thought often about owning my own business but I never saw it as a real possibility. One reason was because I have a strong sense of fear and because of the focus of what I am interested in, which is actually two-fold.

I was sexually and psychologically abused by my parents and as far back as I can recall, I've wanted to take all that I went through and use it for good. Something good has to come out of all that but "how" was always the question. And then I never took it any further either. . . it was always just a thought.

Well, I'm done just thinking about it. Now I need to get started and I did that yesterday by going to our Women's Enterprise Centre. I also registered for a session with our federal/provincial business service centre.

So I have taken that first step to get this all going. Oh, I am also taking a Nutritional Health Consulting program (2 year program) and want to incorporate that into helping those who have been abused. It all goes hand in hand, right. When you don't care if you live or die, chances are you aren't taking care of yourself nutritionally, nor physically.

What it comes down to is that I want to help others find health and happiness but when there has been abuse, it's not just a matter of positive affirmations. There's a whole lot more to it.

It's all so new and EXCITING!

Hello! I've been running a business since I was laid off in Sept 2009 after 20 years in the trucking industry. The last five of those years, I knew it wasn't my destiny. I'd been making "Vision Art" for about a year and went right into it full-time and have never been happier! My website is www.seeyourvisionart.com where you can see examples of Vision Art Designs and www.cafepress.com/visionartdesign where I've scanned my collages for products - 20% of everything I make goes into a charitable fund and that's where the fun REALLY begins!! XOXO

Please help us with the subtitle of our book.
Go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZRFPHR3 and complete the survey. It will take one minute and mean a great deal.
Thanks

Maddie.. congratulations and you are another great inspiration. I have tons of ideas as well -- Nona asked some great questions.
I am off to Yoga now and will leave you with the question.

Find the intersection between your expertise (a culmination of your experience and insights) your passion that would sustain you along the journey, and what you believe there is a need you can fill (meaning people will buy it). Basically - What is your unique expertise (or maybe it is a product),, what do you want to be spending time doing, and is there a market? good ideas are great but they don't build businessess without a market...

Back later.

Oh... please go read Joy Mazzola's blog poem..on this site.
It is wonderful and inspiring.
She is editing our book and was inspired to write it as she is editing.. That is all I need to feel the book is going to be a winner... off to yoga

So glad to join you all in your conversations! Loved your ideas Dana about including viewers in title ideas and snippets of Suzanne's book! Some of you I am already connected with on twitter, but if I am not, I would love to be. You can find me at http://twitter.com/AlignYourEnergy Also, Dana, I find when my energy is low, that I really need to take a rest, do something restful or nurturing or fun and not just make it quick. That's just what works for me. I've tried shorter things, but often my Spirit is just telling me that enough is enough for awhile. And, then I usually get so much more done when I am rested and happy.

I am connected with many people on twitter, though not as many as a lot of people are, and I now want to take the time to connect more and have personal conversations more, too! I recently did with someone and she turned into a client right away, and I was just trying to have fun. Many times, that's a good way to go about it, though, let you inner child out or your Spirit and connect from your truth. Other tips will be helpful for me too, though! Glad to be with all of you!

Maddie,

I think one of the most important thing is that you find what it is you are passionate about and come up with a way to offer it as a service to others.
